Magic Tricks at Twilight’s Edge

The Bleating Oaf, who must be Second Life’s most tedious blogger, is a big fan of just about everything that has been produced by the .aisling team in Second Life. So I just had to give the new product from .aisling – a jewellery set called Eunice – a spin (well parts of it anyway as my budget ran out after spending 1,600 lindens on their less-than generous Gacha and I still hadn’t got any rares) … and guess what? It’s freakin’ AWESOME, as in wearing it let’s me perform magic tricks in Second Life.

Dear Aisling, Love Alles

If people are wondering why I have made this post it is because of the large number of conversations that I have been having with fellow Second Lifers recently in which the subject of what almost seem to be “rigged” or exceedingly unfair gachas has come up. And the Number One name that kept popping up in this regard was Aisling and the gachas that they have had at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival in May and now at Tales of Fantasy in June 2014.

Has Gacha Got Out of Control?

Firstly and before anyone jumps on me, I would to point out that the Gacha in this picture does offer good value. I have just opened one of the bikini packages and discovered that there are five different sizes available and that each of those sizes are transfer. So if I can fit into a size M bikini and I have a friend who fits into a size XS bikini, then we both get something to wear for an initial outlay of only thirty lindens. Unfortunately the same kind of value doesn’t apply to a lot (if not all) of the gachas that are now in vogue at events like the Fantasy Gacha Carnival and the currently running, Tails of Fantasy.
