I have “borrowed” my blog title from the Coen Brothers film noir masterpiece, “No Country For Old Men” – albeit with a bit of a twist. As I said on Flickr, the continued melting of the Siberian permafrost – which is already being driven by climate change – will undoubtedly lead to even more drastic changes to the world’s environment. And in places like Siberia, or Alaska, northern Canada and Greenland, this upward shift in temperature will melt the sea ice and possibly destroy the only places that these wild and beautiful animals live. What a legacy the human race is leaving for its descendants in the twenty-first century. 😦
