“Summertime Blues” was recorded and co-written by the American rockabilly artist Eddie Cochran in 1958 – almost sixty years ago now. The song peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 on September 29, 1958 – which was four days before his twentieth birthday. Sadly he died in England whilst on tour in April 1960, when he was only twenty-one years old.
